Main Story 07-11 (edit) Police Investigation Results Police Investigation Results icon.png No

A summary of the police investigation results for the murder of the Burke couple, including details about the case, evidence, the victims' movements, and the suspect's information.

1. Case Details and Investigation
In January, Irene Burke reported that her adoptive parents, Edwin Burke and Jade Burke might be missing. Police immediately headed to their residence and checked the surveillance footage. In their residence, the police discovered recently washed dishes and suspicious drag marks on the ground. The Burke couple was identified as missing and a full investigation was conducted in search of any clues. A week ago, their bodies were found, along with a potential suspect. The missing persons case became a murder case, with the time of death speculated to be around 10:00PM on January 28th.

During the second investigation, the police found the murder weapon to be a hammer, with the prime suspect Jun Choi's fingerprints on it. The police also found large amounts of scalp tissue on a sofa cushion. Piecing together the evidence, the police speculates that on the night of the murder, Jun Choi brought food dosed with G24D into the residence. After waiting for the G24D to take effect, Jun Choi dragged the unconscious victims onto the floor. He then proceeded to cover their heads with the sofa cushion and viciously bashed their heads in, which caused severe internal bleeding, leading to their death.

2. Retracing the Victims' Steps
The surveillance footage at the entrance of the apartment building showed that on the night of the crime at around 9:00PM, Jade Burke was seen by the security guard leaving the apartment building. Her face obscured by a mask and hat, she was rather untalkative. She returned 45 minutes later, and the couple wasn't seen after that.

3. Suspects and Motives
Jun Choi, male, and fiancé of the victims' adoptive daughter, Irene Burke. The violent and repeated attacks indicate the murderer was in an extreme state of anger. Jun Choi had an altercation with the Burke couple over money. It is suspected Jun Choi had a grudge against the victims and thus committed murder.

4. Retracing the Suspect's Steps
At around 11:00PM that night, Jun Choi left the apartment building with suitcases containing the victims' bodies. He disposed of the bodies at the nature park at around 11:30PM, then left after an hour.

In addition, Brosco Pharmaceutical records show that Jun Choi signed in withdrawing a small amount of G24D.

5. Other Information
Irene Burke, Jun Choi, and the victims all lived in the same apartment building at Roseyal Manors. The adoptive daughter, Irene Burke, had a good relationship with the victims. On the day of the murder, she was at their vacation villa in the suburbs, so she has an alibi. The Burke couple got along with everyone, except for Jun Choi.

Main Story 07-13 (edit) Jun's Testimony I Jun's Testimony I icon.png No

This is Jun Choi's first testimony with his personal information, how he met Irene Burke, his relationship with Caroline Argall, what he thinks about Edwin Burke, and what happened on the day of the crime.

1. Jun Choi, male, 25, second son of the head of Brosco Pharmaceutical, and has an elder brother.
2. He met Irene Burke at a party that she and her mother Caroline Argall were attending. Caroline Argall told him from the start that Irene Burke was Tyson Turner's daughter.
3. Jun Choi said that Caroline Argall had an okay relationship with her daughter, but was closer to the Burkes. When they returned from overseas, Caroline Argall called Edwin Burke to discuss money and housing.
4. At first, Jun Choi lied and said he went to the nature park to watch the stars. After being caught in the lie, he changed his testimony and said he went to repay a debt to a person called Leon. This has yet to be verified. Jun Choi claims his reason for lying was he didn't want his family to find out about his gambling addiction. If they found out, they would take everything away from him.
5. Jun Choi denied having ever seen the murder weapon before, and claimed he doesn't know how his fingerprints got on it. He also claimed that someone forged his signature to take out the G24D.
6. Jun Choi insisted he didn't kill the Burkes. It's true they had an altercation over money, but it was because Edwin Burke suddenly demanded the bride price be doubled on the night before he and Irene Burke were to be married. Jun Choi called Edwin Burke a scoundrel, but he had no choice because he loved Irene Burke. They were her family, after all. However, he had nothing against Jade Burke because she cared deeply for Irene Burke, despite her weak personality.
7. Jun Choi claims to know a secret that no one else but Tyson Turner knows. He would reveal it if his name was cleared.

Theory 1

Vincent Kim's investigation revealed that nobody by the name of Leon exists, which proves that Jun Choi was lying about his whereabouts that day.
