Summary

With Rio in a coma and the case apparently wrapped up, the Main Character is troubled by further inconsistencies in the case, such as Lowe Lear's inexplicably satisfied expression at Rio's confession. Vyn agrees and presents a list of unanswered questions; the two agree there must have been external influence in the case. The bartender, overhearing their conversation, notes that Lowe had asked for a specific movie mirroring Rio's situation to be played at a specific time every night. She also notes that Rio and Lowe had spent time at the bar watching the movie, with Lowe praising the movie as realistic and the protagonist's murder of his teacher to be admirable.
