Summary

The final room of the Denman Financial archive holds the blackmail stash that the main character had been hoping to find; she reviews the blackmail against Jerry Jones with Artem, learning the truth of the night Naomi Anderson was killed: Ava Kendricks, happening across their lovers' quarrel, brought them into private room, placed the lethal syringe of drugs between them, and forced them to make a choice: only one could live. As the attorneys store a backup and decide their next move, Darius Morgan calls and warns Artem that Ava Kendricks has evaded surveillance. Seconds later, gas floods the archive, and the two pass out.
