Jun Choi is the second son of the head of Brosco Pharmaceutical and fiancé of Irene Burke. He was recently arrested on suspicion of murdering Edwin Burke and Jade Burke, Irene's adoptive parents, who were last seen alive on January 28th, 2030.[1]

Jun has a hostile relationship with his family, stating that his grandfather treats him like he doesn't exist, his father views him as useless and is close to disowning him, and his brother, who is three years older than Jun, ostracized, framed, and attempted to murder Jun in order to squeeze him out of the Brosco family legacy. Currently, Jun's only connection to his family holdings is the fact that he occupies the Chois' family seat on the Rexing Property Board of Directors, but even this is in danger of being lost since the Burkes' murder investigation was leaked to the media with Jun as the prime suspect, further damaging the family's credibility and dignity. He is still somewhat close to Caroline Argall, whom he refers to as "Aunt" due to her close relationship with his own mother.[1][2]

He met fiancée Irene Burke at a party after being introduced by Caroline, and he said he fell in love with Irene at first sight. The two dated for three years and were meant to have been married in March of 2030, but Edwin Burke demanded Jun pay double an already exorbitant bride price--two properties in the CBD, two fancy cars, and a million dollars--which led to repeated arguments that saw Edwin attempt to publicly embarrass Jun, who responded with explosive anger and threats of murder he would later go on to claim he hadn't ever truly meant.[3][4]

The threats above, in addition to Jun's fingerprints found on the murder weapon, a Brosco drug in the victims' systems, and Jun's presence in Stellis Natural Park on the night their bodies were disposed of there, are the police's prime reasons for suspecting Jun Choi of the crime.

Jun is noted to not be an especially athletic person.[5]

Story[edit | edit source]

After overhearing an argument between her biological father, Tyson Turner, and Heirson Health Products employee Simon Bloodworth, Irene suggested to Jun that she could introduce Jun to Tyson for the purpose of having Jun murder Simon. Tyson agreed to this plan and offered 10% of the company's shares as payment. More importantly, Irene planned that this would gain Tyson's trust, which would eventually lead to Heirson becoming Irene's and Jun's in full, an idea that very much appealed to Jun after he was cut out of his own pharmaceutical family legacy. He carried out the murder at 11:30 PM on January 28th under the guise of meeting Simon to pay a sum of hush money he had demanded, giving him an alibi for the murder of the Burke couple.[6][2]

In reality, Irene murdered her own adoptive parents on the same day Jun murdered Simon, intending to pin whichever body was discovered first on Jun as vengeance for his role in destroying her life. In actual fact, Irene had been sold to Jun in a political arrangement by her biological mother, Caroline Argall, in exchange for Jun's unconditional support in Caroline's bid for Rexing Property CEO. After falling in love with Irene, Jun refused to take no for an answer and destroyed Irene's dream of leaving Stellis by falsely reporting she had cheated on her entrance exam to the Dionysus Academy of Art, a top acting school overseas, leaving her with no choice but to agree to the marriage.[2]

After being cleared of the murder of the Burke couple by his defense attorney, the Main Character, Jun was later found guilty of murdering Simon Bloodworth.[7]
