Jade Burke is the wife of Edwin Burke and adoptive mother of Irene Burke. A quiet and somewhat nervous woman, Jade went missing along with her husband on January 28, 2030; the case was classed as missing persons until both bodies were recently found at Stellis Natural Park. Jun Choi, Irene's fiancé, is suspected of murdering the couple due to arguments he had with Edwin over Irene's bride price; this seems supported by evidence that with multiple blows to the head, the culprit must have been acting out of fear or extreme anger.

Neighbors describe the Burkes as a happy family, noting that Irene and Jade shared a bond in both appearance and treatment that made the two seem blood-related. Edwin and Jade recently moved back from overseas and thus had fairly uncomplicated social relationships, mostly enjoying trips and dinners with their daughter and otherwise keeping to themselves.

Story

Underneath the pleasant outward façade of the Burke couple was a domestic nightmare; Jade was routinely a victim of abuse at the hands of her husband due to her attempts to defend Irene and many other children from Edwin's abuse. Unaware that Jade had been her only advocate in her childhood, Irene murdered Jade for her role as a weak bystander who never attempted to stop the ongoing abuse.
