General[edit | edit source]

Simon Bloodworth is the former head of Heirson Health Products' Materials Division. He was caught stealing controlled substances from Heirson and reselling them to other clients, such as Gordon Grant of Moonriver Pharmaceutical Laboratories. When he was caught, he left a note stating he was unable to pay the fines demanded of him by the law and by his company, stating his intention to commit suicide by jumping into the ocean.

Simon Bloodworth's suicide was deemed suspicious due to a lack of both body and witnesses, and it was logged by the Big Data Lab as missing persons case NXX-011.[1]

Story[edit | edit source]

The controlled substance Simon Bloodworth was selling was discovered through the investigation of Gordon Grant's murder case to be X03A, which contains traces of the illegal drug NXX.

Prior to his death, Simon reached out to Jovi Vance and the Anti-Heirson Mutual Aid Group with evidence of Heirson's wrongdoings, including a shipping ledger indicating obtainment of illegal substances, a video, and a sample of raw materials that included toxic products. He asked the group to make his evidence public if anything were to happen to him, but the group did not adhere to Simon's wishes, using the sample for a more covert vengeance and keeping the other evidence as leverage to bargain for help from other interested parties. Simon's evidence did, however, confirm that toxic substances had always been present in Heirson's raw materials.[2]

Simon's body was found during the events of Episode 7: The Rain of Monte Cristo (Part 1) with a blunt force wound on his head and marks around his wrists indicating he'd been tied to a heavy object before being thrown into the water.[3] Through a lucky video from a local astrophotography hobbyist, he was confirmed to have been murdered by Jun Choi under Tyson Turner's direction at 11:30 PM on January 28, 2030 in a meeting that was supposed to see Simon receive a hush money payment he had demanded from Tyson.[4][5]
