Anti-Heirson Mutual Aid Group
A support and activism group established to by families of Heirson Health Products employees who passed away while working for the company.
The group came together in response to investigations conducted by Jovi Vance due to his own father's death, which Heirson blamed on "internal lesions caused by overwork." Doubtful of Heirson's conclusion, a skeptical Jovi dug deeper into employee deaths and found many cases like his father's, leading to the conclusion that there were likely toxic substances on the production line. He gathered the families he'd contacted during his investigations, and together, the group demanded an explanation from Heirson and even made headlines. Heirson would go on to ignore the demands and bury the story, which led the group to more covert avenues of activism.[1][2]
While it isn't specified exactly how, it is known the mutual aid group became "a real headache" for Heirson; the group was persistent and damaging enough that eventually Simon Bloodworth would seek out the group's protection, sending them proof of their suspicions regarding Heirson's toxic raw materials and requesting that they make the proof public if anything were to happen to him.[1]
The group meets in North Stellis and is comprised of at least a dozen members. Prior to her death, Jasmine Kenders was in contact with the group; her detailed notes on the families' lost members and their causes of death--about half due to sudden mental illness and the other half due to lesions on internal organs--helped show a clear trend of NXX toxicity symptoms to later investigators.[3][4]
The group's meeting place is in a neighborhood in South Stellis.[5]
