Angela Diggs is an acquaintance and classmate of the late Letha Graye. She lives with her father, who is an alcoholic and cares little for her welfare. He physically abuses her, directs her to shoplift from local supermarkets, and he is often not aware if she comes home late -- or fails to come home at all, as was the case when she was kidnapped by Letha's father, Hugo Graye.[1]
Angela is fond of cola, drawing comparisons between herself and the drink, commenting that when you provoke it by shaking it up, it explodes without regard for friend or foe -- exactly how she aspires to be.[2]

Angela's testimony after she was found alive provided key evidence that proved her kidnapper's identity not as Hugo Graye, but as Mavis Sutcliffe and Matthew Richter.[3]
The shoplifting her father forced her to conduct once caused her to be subjected to blackmail by classmate Billy Chante, the grandson of Letha's caregiver Jill Meadows, who would routinely force her to steal more under threat of getting her expelled.
