Hugo Graye is the father of Letha Graye. He's said to be less mature than his daughter, expressing no fatherly manner toward her. He experiences emotional outbursts, such as fits of rage that lead to him smashing objects, and he often needed Letha to calm him down before she passed away under suspicious circumstances. He disappeared on the night of Letha's death and reemerged when he announced his kidnapping of Angela Diggs, an acquaintance of Letha's, in a livestream that implied Vyn Richter had something to do with the case.
Hugo had a fragile relationship with Letha's mother, Mavis Sutcliffe, before Mavis disappeared some months ago; the two were said to never sleep in the same room and barely acknowledged each other's presence.[1]

Shortly after Angela Diggs was found alive, Hugo Graye's corpse was found drowned in the Stellis River, causing the public to speculate that Vyn had silenced Hugo to prevent him from saying whatever he had planned to say.[2] Further investigation revealed that Hugo had been framed for the kidnapping. He is believed to have been murdered by those who actually committed the crime: Mavis Sutcliffe and Matthew Richter.[3]
As the truth of Letha's case fully revealed itself, it became clear that Hugo was neither Letha Graye's father nor Mavis' husband. Letha suffered from a condition that caused her to lose all memory of her life and previous family; before her memory loss was complete, she selected new family members for herself. Prior to being chosen as Letha's new father, Hugo was a mentally disabled homeless man acquainted with Albie who defended her from a bully.[4] He was fond of a particular brand of lollipop and was said to be a quiet person.[5]Organization(s)[edit | edit source]
