General[edit | edit source]

Felicia Luo is a fortune-teller who frequently sets up her stall in a leisure park near Stellis Public Hospital, where her daughter, Brigid Gries, is under intensive care. She is a recent divorcee from her ex-husband, Brad Gries, who disappeared after the divorce. Felicia would later confess to Brad's murder, claiming to have used a cursed talisman to carry out the deed because she viewed the divorce as an unforgivable betrayal.[2]

Felicia frequently came into conflict with those around her due to her fortune-telling scams before she married Brad. After marrying him, she retired from fortune-telling, only returning to the profession after the divorce.[3]

When her daughter was born sickly, Felicia blamed herself, believing it was punishment for the scams she'd committed before Brigid's birth.[4]

Story[edit | edit source]

Felicia later withdrew her confession to Brad's murder, explaining that those who were behind Brad's death are powerful enough to easily bury the case, but the police might feel pressured to save face and seek the true killer if they initially arrested the wrong person. When she began speaking honestly about him, she expressed a fondness for Brad's deep kindness. Near the end of Brad's life, Felicia was in contact with an anonymous caller who had information about what Brad had been investigating that led to his murder. Claiming to have a goal in common with Brad, the caller directed her to give out talismans to specific purchasers of black-market drugs and suggested she confess to Brad's murder, though the caller misled Felicia through several of these encounters.[5] Felicia was defended by the Main Character and acquitted for Brad's murder, though the discovery that he committed suicide shook her badly enough that she would con on to need long-term psychotherapy.[6]
