Summary

Analyzing the clues from the crime scene, the Main Character concludes that while Brad Gries was clearly fearful for his life in his last days, he did not fear or harbor any resentment toward Felicia Luo, and she's unlikely to be the murderer despite her confession. Artem suggests they next speak to a coalition of "victims" who believe they have been cursed by Felicia's talismans, singling out one member's name to start with: Jonah Zahn, who previously attacked Marius von Hagen at a party.

Later, at the Pax Group conference room, Marius discusses the case with Vincent Kim, then turns the conversation to Jonah Zahn as well. As Vincent begins to share some information, they're interrupted by an alert that Jonah has just died.

A few minutes earlier, the attorneys arrive at Jonah's residence to find a crowd gathered outside. On the roof of his building, Jonah argues with a hallucinated attacker, backing up in fear until he falls from the roof onto the pavement below.
