- This article discusses the "Oedipus" in the main story arc. For the Oedipus in Luke's personal story chapters, see Oedipus (Luke's Story).
"Oedipus" is an unknown figure who is possibly connected to NXX research and distribution. So far, Oedipus is known to have contacted two individuals:
- Nurse Skye Harper claimed to have received a note in her bag from Oedipus telling her of a drug delivery to Stellis Public Hospital which she could use to end the lives of harmful patients. This drug likely contained NXX, as it caused a rapid-onset cancer in Gerard Boone's mother similar to other known NXX cases.[1] After she admitted to her crimes, the unknown drugs were quickly and quietly removed from the hospital, suggesting Oedipus was well prepared to discard Nurse Harper.[2] Because he used paper notes to communicate with Nurse Harper, it's suspected that Oedipus is a healthcare worker, but not a frequent enough colleague to have obtained her personal contact information.[3]
- Luke Pearce received an unknown drug and a note from Oedipus with the message "try to live on."[4]
