Summary
Artem and the
main character bring Paige on the long drive to her daughter,
Shirley Shaw, in Stellis Hospital. The two fall asleep while the Shaws discuss Shirley's illness, but they wake up to an escalated argument. Artem mediates the argument by pointing out that Shirley's plans will cast poor public opinion on her mother and
Megan Banks and ruin their lives if she chooses not to use the donation money for surgery. Artem also says Shirley will be prosecuted and likely found guilty for the false abduction, but he offers to defend her in court.
