Summary
Vyn and the
main character escape Nosta's prison fortress when Vyn, who brought a collapsible bow on the trip due to his previous study of archery, is able to attach a sturdy wire to the opposite cliff to use as a zip line. The pair travels through the night and arrives at a camp just after dawn only to find
Zachary Clarke is being brought in on a stretcher by a rescue crew after suffering a gunshot wound and heavy blood loss. Surprisingly, the team working to save Zachary reveals the person who injured him was not

Jack Barlow. Vyn and the MC resolve to meet everyone at base camp after resting since the cases' paths are crossing.
