Zachary Clark is a psychiatrist with background in law and psychology. Working in Stellis prisons, he's responsible for the psychological health of all the inmates. Zachary's work with inmates require him to take periodic psychological evaluations, which are performed by Vyn Richter.
	DAVIS: Psychiatrists are also under a great deal of stress. I wonder how Dr. Richter deals with the stress.

General

Zachary is a widower, having met his love when both of them traveled from rural hometowns to study in Stellis and settled there after graduation; her diagnosis of leukemia consumed all the money both of their families had until she passed away, unable to afford the bone marrow transplant that could have saved her life. The last thing Zachary could do was marry her and buy her a rose.

Zachary's nickname among the inmates with whom he works is "King Crook" due to his routine smuggling and high markup of contraband for the prisoners. He blames his greedy habits on his financial state in the wake of his wife's death.

Zachary's involvement in the events at Nosta began with Joshua Ott, a convict in a prison Zachary serviced; Joshua blackmailed Zachary with proof of his contraband smuggling, demanding Zachary help commute his sentence two years early and bring him to Nosta. Zachary did so, citing contributions to his thesis published in Nation A, and brought Joshua traveled to Nosta masquerading as Jason Doe, Zachary's assistant.

Story

Zachary had scouted the island and cut a deal with a crew to help his escape three months in advance of the expedition, before getting Joshua's sentence commuted. He helped damage the Pax Group's smartwatch terminals during the cruise from Stellis to Nosta.

While Joshua had promised to share a hundred kilos of gold with Zachary in exchange for the cooperation with his sentence and travel, he shared false information instead. Zachary, enraged, attempted to kill Joshua and take the gold for himself. Joshua, having forseen this turn of events, had given a false meeting location to both Zachary and Jack Barlow, intending for them to attack each other in belief it would be Joshua there. Zachary was shot in the shoulder by Artem Wing, who happened to be with Jack at the time the men's paths intersected.
