Summary

Half an hour later, the main character is at the Stellis police station, relaying the conversation with Janus' groupie to Darius Morgan. The groupie tipped the team off to the fact that Janus had recently visited The Abyss, a shady pub in the Stellis Industrial Zone at which illicit deals are rumored to take place, so Vyn agreed to investigate while the MC headed back to the police station to question Janus. Darius informs the MC that the missing bottle of wine has been found and is positive for tetrodotoxin as suspected, but also reveals that tetrodotoxin and a syringe has been found in the trunk of Marius von Hagen's car and that due to media pressure, the trial will take place in only a week.

In the interrogation room, Janus claims he intended to commit suicide with the poisoned wine but was foiled by Jen, then says he had no contact with Estelle after their fight and explains away his early departure time as having been due to an unpleasant encounter with a groupie rather than guilt. The MC continues to press on with presenting the gathered evidence, and Janus goes pale and refuses to cooperate further.
