Austin von Hagen is the head of the von Hagen family, which is the wealthiest family in the country, and the now-retired president of its legacy, the Pax Group. He announced his retirement in 2026, handing the company over to his firstborn son, Giann von Hagen; when Giann was assigned to an overseas project, Austin's second son, Marius von Hagen, took over as Acting President. He still maintains some control if his intervention is required, but this is seen as a last resort by his sons.[2]
Despite Austin's intimidating celebrity reputation, he is very caring and protective toward his family, even supporting his sons over his company's Board[3], and he believes any opportunity at love should be seized to avoid regrets.[4] He describes himself as stubborn and admits he doesn't completely trust anyone except his family.[5]
Austin grows Green Mist Chrysanthemums, which are otherwise exclusive to another province within the country; he has the soil and water specially shipped from their endemic range so they can thrive.[6] He is fond of very old folk music.[7]
