Orson Barlow's protection necklace, disassembled

Orson Barlow was a fisherman who died on Nosta during the "Great Gold Heist" event ten years ago, in which a bandit gang called the Golden Lions landed on the island, hid their treasure, and self-destructed due to mutiny. Orson was murdered by Joshua Ott in the chaos, leaving behind a sickly wife and two children -- Jack Barlow, who was in high school at the time, and an unnamed younger daughter.

As the Barlow family was not well off, Orson spent most of his time earning a living by fishing in distant places. The year of his death, he had just taken out a loan for a new fishing boat, promising to return with a larger catch. He wore a necklace made of ancient copper coins and red thread, which carries a meaning of blessing and protection in his hometown, made by his wife as a safety charm.[1][2][3]
