Jared Qin is a subordinate of Pax Group Director Sheldon Harrison. He's highly praised within the company, having completed many large projects in a few years' employment.[1] He's described by associates as being a very social person, though recent months have seen him using excuses to avoid regular gatherings.[2] Jared is allergic to alcohol but is a regular at a folk bar in Stellis' CBD, frequently reserving the VIP room.[3]

Despite coming from a poor family, Jared traveled to the US as an exchange student and studied in the UK, both at his own expense due to an anonymous charity fund.[4]

Story

Jared's anonymous benefactor turned out to have been Pax Director Don Edison, who employed Jared to undermine Marius von Hagen through several schemes, including the scandal to expose Jason Sanders' past fraud convictions to paint Pax's Rising Talent Initiative as corrupt and the employment of Lane Chapman to cover it up. Jared was later intended to directly implicate his employer, Director Harrison, by sabotaging Pax acquisitions after being recommended by Harrison to handle them.[3]

When Jared's role in the Pax scandals was discovered, Marius allowed him to resign quietly rather than have his actions revealed publicly and be fired.[5]
