Sheldon Harrison

Sheldon Harrison is one of the directors of the Pax Group and an old partner of Austin von Hagen. He's very close to the von Hagen family, looking after Marius and Giann as children. Sheldon is reputed to be a grumpy and stubborn man, but Marius is very much at ease around him, and Sheldon's actions and encouraging words tend to be very supportive of Marius.[2][3]
Sheldon always wears a silver pinky ring that his deceased wife once gave him. To Sheldon, this is a sign of being single by choice and a remembrance of her after she took her own life due to depression and stress caused by the pressure of Sheldon's high-society life. Sheldon felt helpless to help her and blames himself for not taking better care of her, and in the present day, this experience has led to a belief that people from ordinary backgrounds are fundamentally romantically incompatible with those born into high society. Sheldon also believes that real life doesn't have many happy endings, and that relationships that are destined for tragedy are better off ended early.[4]
