Scarlett Arkwright is a citizen of Stellis City and patient of Vyn Richter who has idolized the ancient Khaimit Pharaoh Hepharet since she was a child due to her independence, strength, and courage. In the month leading up to the events of Secrets of the Tomb, she abandoned her family in Stellis without warning and moved to Khaimit, swayed by the fervor that had developed around Hepharet's return. Scarlett wished to be Hepharet's most loyal subject, looking forward to the day she would rule over Khaimit once more and believing she would grant Scarlett the freedom she so desires.[1]
During her time there, Scarlett visited most major locations in Khaimit before settling at an unnamed oasis in the Ita Desert near Hessu Ruins, where she claims her soul is at home.[2]
Scarlett's family believes everything she has seen is a delusion, which has caused a deep divide between them that makes her even less willing to return to Stellis.[1] After the conclusion of the event story, Scarlett decides to return to Stellis after great distress about having been misled. However, she resolves to continue drawing inspiration from the true Hepharet of Khaimit's past and search for freedom with other fellow believers after her break in Stellis.[3]
