Cloudbreak Mountain

Cloudbreak Mountain is a rural area about 20 minutes' drive from Stellis and is known as Stellis' "summer hideaway."[1] Notable features include:
- Cloudbreak Temple, a thousand-year-old culturally protected traditional temple covering an area of 12 km². Cloudbreak Temple hosts an annual summer prayer event at which locals pray for luck in school, safety, wealth, careers, and marriages. The temple's wishing tree, located in its backyard, is covered with wishing tags all year round.[2] There is a detailed procedure for how to pray at the temple: Washing hands, then burning incense, then praying, then writing in the wish book, then receiving a wishing tag. The temple's wishing tree is filled almost exclusively with bad luck wishing tags, as those with good ones typically take them home while those with bad ones wish to leave their bad luck at the temple.[3]
- A spring from which residents and businesses of Stellis have fresh spring water delivered
- A campus of Stellis Junior High, which was under construction in 2022.[4]
- An astronomical observatory next to the school campus, which has a hall of history featuring many historic figures in astronomy; the closest figure to the entrance is Urania.[4]
