Artem and the main character ask Cyrus Poole questions about Robert Whitaker and Hoover High School, discovering Robert was kind and caring toward his students but not well liked by his peers in the school's unique and excessively strict environment. Artem drives Cyrus home and is soon notified that Robert spoke to fellow teacher Lynnette Li, whom Cyrus had noted seemed to get along very poorly with Robert, shortly before his death.
