Rena is the deceased mother of Luke Pearce, wife of Percival Freeman, and best friend of the Main Character's mother. She died in a car accident[1] when Luke was still young[2].
She and her husband are described to be affectionate towards Luke. They kept a baby diary which thoroughly recorded everything about Luke from when he was born. While she was pregnant, they recorded a message addressed to an adult Luke.[3] They left a three-story house for Luke which he currently lives in.[4]
When Luke got accepted to National Central University, he had mentioned that his mother, Rena, would be happy if she knew of his university major, Bioengineering.[5]
Her favorite poem was "Nach dem Fest". When Luke was born, she made it into a lullaby and sang it to him. Her and her husband's tombstone has its line "It burns only for the sake of burning" engraved. She was described as someone who "burns"; she always gives her all and leaves no regrets. [6]
