The [[Main Character|main character]] confronts Jason with proof of Reimi's treatment and demands the truth of the situation.<br /><br />Jason recounts how he met Cher and was hired for reproduction work shortly after Raimi fell ill, then admits to lying about having cheated on Reimi; in reality, he wanted Reimi to divorce him because he'd discovered Cher was committing fraud and wanted to protect Reimi from the inevitable punishment. Jason had agreed to take the brunt of the blame for the fraud as long as he was paid well, but he convinced Cher that she was being set up in a similar way by a mysterious figure "M" who was backing her as well. Jason tips the MC off to the location of evidence on Cher's backer, which the two retrieve. | ||
