Upon seeing the condition of
Jasmine Kenders' home, the
main character agrees with
Luke's earlier assessment that it's likely Jasmine had incriminating evidence against
Heirson Health Products. The pair investigates the lower floor of the apartment first, finding pages of handwritten computer code in crayon, a research notebook focusing on last century's pandemic as well as gene-based medicine developed by the
Pax Group and
Crimson Biotech with pages ripped out, an unused laptop that was intended as a gift for
Hugh Moss' birthday on her date of death, a Pax Motors service record for cancellation of a brake pad replacement for
Hans Weller's SUV dated after Jasmine's death, and an expensive hair clip that was delivered to Jasmine's workplace but never opened. Luke notes the condition of the apartment seems to indicate at least two intrusions.
