Summary
Artem and the
main character head to
Gordon Grant's home as Artem explains the family situation: Gordon lived with son
Harry Grant, mistress
Joanne Scott, illegitimate child
Joey Grant, and nanny
Fannie Morris. Artem explains that Gordon died of an adverse drug reaction shortly after drinking an herbal medicine he used to supplement his heart disease treatment and that Harry is the prime suspect due to Gordon's affair having contributed to Harry's mother's death. On the scene,
Darius Morgan arrives and explains that there is both physical evidence and eyewitness testimony against Harry, suggesting that Artem prepare to argue the sentence down rather than attempt to prove innocence.
While Artem and Darius discuss the case in another room, the MC questions Harry and discovers that while Harry had been considering murdering Gordon in exactly this manner for a long time--to the extent that he created the concentrated tablets that were found in the kitchen trash can at his school lab--he only found his resolve today after discovering Gordon stole much of the inheritance that Harry's mother had left to Harry. However, he insists Fannie stopped him before carrying out his plan, and that he is
not the murderer unless one of his tablets fell in by mistake.
