General

Hans Weller is the head of Opaline Village. He has a son who works in Stellis thanks to Hans' connections and a wife who lives in town with him, and he's known to have been on the front lines of the protest against the pollution of Opaline River.[1]

Hans' overly flattering manner is noted to feel uncomfortable for those around him.[2]

Hans's residence is far higher-class than most of Opaline Village, with a recently-purchased black sedan in the driveway and high-end accessories and recent electronics inside.[3]

Story

Hans shares direct responsibility for the death of Jasmine Kenders, having swapped a worn brake pad from his Pax Motors SUV of the same make and model as Jasmine's on the day of her fatal crash. In exchange for Hans' support of Heirson's presence and dealings in Opaline Village, including those surrounding the Kenders case, Hans maintains his high standard of living thanks to ongoing payments from Heirson Health Products, which allowed him to sell his incriminating vehicle in favor of his new one among his many other suspicious purchases; his son is also employed at a Heirson-owned store as a sales clerk.[4]
