Hanson Collins is an art curator who was formerly in charge of art exhibitions put on by the Pax Group. He was considered a veteran of Pax, having been promoted to his position by former President Austin von Hagen, and he was considered to be quite capable in his role.[1] His shrewd techniques, developed over his life-long career as a curator, include seeking rare art to display Pax's superiority and influence, as well as manipulation of the media through intentional leaks.[2]
Marius von Hagen ended Hanson's working relationship with the Pax Group when Hanson made an impulsive decision to replace the painting "Untitled" by Z with a never-before-seen work by Z that Hanson had acquired independently. The work was proven to be a forgery, and only Marius' handling of the situation and ability to source a genuine never-before-seen Z painting saved Hanson's and Pax's reputations.[3]
