Summary

Bryce Thatcher apologizes to Marius and the main character for his earlier loss of composure. Bryce claims to have come to Nosta because of a vision he had when he was very ill the previous year, in which Nosta's goddess of life rescued him from imminent death. Satisfied with Bryce's explanation, Marius gives Bryce the notebook from the archaeology camp. Bryce immediately encourages Marius and the MC to go see some rare flowers nearby, which the pair finds suspicious due to the suggestion's timing. They pretend to leave but stay close enough to see Bryce sneak into their tent and then pack up to leave on a solo journey.
