Bryce Thatcher is a wealthy man who specializes in outdoor sporting goods, a famous and renowned tycoon who owns a lot of popular brands, and a close friend of Marius von Hagen.

Bryce loves treasure hunting and adventure stories. He organized the "Treasure Island" event on Nosta despite recovering from a severe illness in 2029, the previous year. Although the Pax Group is hosting the event, Bryce is considered the true organizer of "Treasure Island". Bryce, having come up with the entire event script, plan, and treasure locations, claims the event still holds meaning for him as a treasure hunt because he wants to explore the island and search for relics of old civilizations; in fact, Bryce studied archaeology in university.

Bryce has children of unknown age and number, including at least one son; he dismisses them as "disappointments."

Story

Bryce had an ulterior motive in organizing the treasure hunt on Nosta, arranging certain aspects of it to suit his goals and sabotaging others. This goal was to complete Nosta's "Immortal Ritual" out of fear after his health scare the previous year; he claims that while he was sick and regularly after recovering, he saw a beautiful goddess. His research led him to believe she was the Nosta goddess of life, who saved him. He would later go on to admit that he had never actually recovered, he had simply chosen conservative treatment for the last year of his life.

To attain his goal, Bryce purchased a piece of the riddle from a corrupt Nation A sheriff who claimed to be over a hundred years old despite only appearing to be in his 20s or 30s. He then contacted the last remaining member of the Golden Lions, Joshua Ott, blackmailing him to retrieve the lost Golden Mask of Anubis; Bryce hoped that the mask would be an acceptable substitute for the "God of Death Scepter" meant to conduct the ritual.

While designing the Treasure Hunt event, Bryce avoided placing any underwater clues due to his belief that the mask was hidden in an underwater cache. He also replaced the security footage aboard the cruise ship when Zachary Clarke and Joshua Ott broke in and sabotaged the event's smartwatch terminals. Joshua could not retrieve the mask in time for the appointed ritual time, which could only be completed on a specific date; at the time the ritual was meant to take place, Bryce suffered a heart attack that left him in critical condition.
