Meow~
You: Hmm?
While you relax, you seem to hear the sound of a kitten in the room.
You: Is there a kitten in there?
With some doubt, you start searching for the source of the sound.
Meow~
After a few more meows, you find Vyn squatting down next to a small kitten excited by some food.
You: Vyn?
Vyn turns to you with a smile as he hears you call him. After placing some food down in front of the kitten, he stands up and walks toward you.
You: What's this kitten doing here?
Vyn: It is a stray that lives nearby. It must have smelled the fragrance on my hands and mistook it for food, so it will not let me leave.
You: Do your hands smell like food?
Seeing Vyn smile in silence, you curiously take his hand and smell it.
Vyn: ...
Vyn is slightly surprised, but he still lets you continue.
Seeing as you've been learning about fragrance blending from Vyn recently, you are able to identify most scents.
You: It kind of smells like cookies. Is it the vanilla and butter fragrances?
Vyn: ...Impressive.
Vyn smiles and tickles your nose with his pointer finger.
As he moves, you seem to smell the faint scent of roses again.
Without thinking, you hold Vyn's wrist and sniff it again.
Vyn: ...
You: (It smells like roses? But...)
You: Vyn, the rose smell on your wrist is different from the one in the store.
Vyn: Your nose is getting more and more sensitive.
Vyn: This essential oil is still being developed. It uses different ingredients, so it is different than the one in the store.
You: (An essential oil that's still being developed?)
You think back to making essential oils with Vyn before—did he make more by himself later?
When you come back to your senses, you notice Vyn's helpless smile and realize you are still holding onto his hand. You quickly let go...
Before he moves his hand away, Vyn tucks the hair at your temple behind your ear.
Vyn: You look so serious... What are you smelling?
You: Huh? I just think it smells really nice!
Only when he asks you this do you quickly explain yourself...
You: And... I was just curious about what was in that essential oil.
Vyn: Do you like it?
You: Yeah! It smells really familiar and makes me feel at ease.
Vyn gently embraces you from behind.
Vyn: That is good. It looks like I was right...
You: What?
The words Vyn whispered make you even more curious.
Vyn just smiles and doesn't say any more.
Vyn: It is a secret. I will reveal it later.
You: What is it? So mysterious...
Due to what Vyn said, not only does the curiosity in your heart not dissipate, but it slowly grows into a secret anticipation.
Anticipation for... some sort of "surprise."
