Milk Tea: Coffee Class

You often sit at Luke's coffee bar when there are no customers.

It is simply due to your curiosity about the systematic process of making coffee, which is nice to watch.

Luke: Do you want to help?

You: Um... can I?

Luke: Sure, it isn't hard. Help me grind some beans.

Luke slides the coffee grinder over and demonstrates how to use it.

You turn the handle around and around just like he did, creating a relaxing rustling sound.

You: Like this?

A fine, brown powder scatters in the air, carrying with it the rich scent of coffee.

Luke: Yep, great. That's enough for now.

Luke: Ground coffee can oxidize and lose its flavor quickly, so it's best to grind just enough to drink.

You: I see...

Luke quickly puts the ground coffee on the filter. He warms the pot, steams the coffee, and brews it in one fell swoop...

Luke: Here, try it. We made this coffee together, after all.

After drinking the perfectly bitter yet mellow cup of coffee, paired with the refreshing feeling of a slight sweat, you can't help but feel relaxed.

You look at Luke to discover that he is looking back at you, the smile on his lips as warm and tender as the coffee you just drank.

Steak: Gift of Appreciation

You: Mr. Wing, have a look!

You hand a package to Artem like it's a piece of treasure, looking forward to his reaction.

Artem: Hmm? What's this?

You: An old lady sent it here. It says it's for "Chef Wing."

Artem opens the packages with an understanding expression. Inside is a hand-sewn apron with delicate stitching that looks as if it was done meticulously.

You: That woman said she's been eating your food a lot recently, and her husband must have caused some trouble for you with his requests.

You: She heard that we'll be closing soon, so she asked me to give you this small gift.

Artem: ...

Artem: What about the old lady?

You: It seems like she's a little shy. I tried to persuade her multiple times, but she still insisted that I give it to you.

Artem gently strokes the apron, his eyes full of appreciation and emotion.

You: Someone recognized your hard work, Mr. Wing!

Artem: Yeah, I'll wear this apron the next time I cook for that lady.

You: I'm sure she would be very happy to know that.

Warmth is concealed in each stitch, while gratitude is hidden in every meal. Sharing and giving are precisely what the Winterwish Festival is all about.

Mille-Feuille: Flower Care

You: Dr. Richter, did you order these flowers?

You stand beside Vyn as you look at the dazzling array of flowers and gardening tools on the table.

Vyn: Yes. The counter looked a little empty, so I thought it would be nice to use flowers as decoration. What do you think?

You: That's a great idea. All these beautiful flowers will put the guests in a good mood too!

Vyn nods with a smile. He then skillfully cuts a slit in the stem of each flower, putting them in the large vase on the floor.

You lean on the counter, watching the process silently. Vyn suddenly raises his head and gazes at you with his bright, clear eyes.

Vyn: Would you like to try? You seem curious.

You: Sure...

After watching for so long, you are already eager to try, so you agree.

You cut a flower following Vyn's example, then hand it to him.

You: Just cut it like this, right?

Vyn: Right. You are a quick learner, and you always do a good job.

The two of you share a glance and smile. You sort out the flowers together, and soon it is all completed.

Vyn: Okay, depending on how much water they need, it should only take four or five hours for them to perk up.

You: All right. I'm already looking forward to seeing some colorful flowers here!

Parfait: Plate Art

Marius: What do you think of my painting?

The afternoon sun shines down brightly, spilling across the café like gold paint. The entire place seems to take on a warm hue.

Marius hands you the plate he just painted. It depicts the Wishful Café, covered in a fresh coat of snow.

You: It looks great! This would be perfect as a decoration in the café!

Marius: Of course. Don't you know who I am?

Marius raises his eyebrows triumphantly before picking up another plate. He raises his pen, thinks for a moment, then puts it back down again.

You: What's wrong?

Marius: What did you draw? You're being so secretive. Why don't you show me?

He leans over, his gaze full of curiosity and anticipation.

You: Well... I can show you, but don't laugh.

You hand over the almost-finished plate and watch Marius' expression slowly change from anticipation to something indescribable...

Marius: Is this... me?

You: Yeah... this place is going to be used to decorate your area, so I wanted to paint a picture of you.

You: But it's way too ugly... Hey, give it back to me.

Embarrassed, you try to take the plate back, but Marius holds onto the other side.

Marius: You drew me, so shouldn't I have half of the rights to it?

He holds onto the plate and looks at you. It's as if the sun has fallen in his eyes, his gaze scorching hot and bright.

Marius: I really like this plate, so I want to keep it to myself instead of showing it to anyone else.
