Florist
Although the next location is a little far away, you arrive at your destination quickly since you've been there once before.
As soon as you reach the entrance, you spot the pots of eipluhnights that caught your eye last time, neatly arranged by the door.
Flower Shop Owner: Hey, it's you guys! Nice to see you again. Are you here for the challenge...?
The owner pinpoints your reason for coming before you can say a word. She enthusiastically invites you into the store.
Flower Processing Room
This shop's challenge is to help the owner wrap and sell the flowers. You need to sell a specified number of flowers to complete the challenge.
You walk through the display area filled with bunches of fresh flowers before you finally arrive at the flower processing room in the back of the store.
You: Miss, how did you know that we're here for the challenge?
Before you get started, you ask the question that's been bugging you.
Flower Shop Owner: Well... because...
She wasn't expecting you to ask that question. Unlike the laid-back attitude she had just now, she seems to be slightly at a loss for words.
Vyn: You probably saw the flyer we were carrying, right?
Vyn's seemingly nonchalant remark saves the owner.
Flower Shop Owner: Ah... yeah! I've seen a bunch of customers carrying those event flyers, so I guessed as soon as I saw that you guys had one too.
Flower Shop Owner: And we've met before, right? You were the ones who previously brought a luminescent eipluhnight in. There's no way I could forget you.
You: Oh, I see...
You glance over at Vyn. His reaction is so normal that you can't help feeling like you're overthinking things.
Flower Shop Owner: Well then, should we get started? I'll explain exactly what to do and how to do it.
The owner eagerly changes the subject, not wanting to continue discussing that topic.
You: All right.
Vyn already knows a lot about gardening, so he gets it immediately after the owner explains briefly.
And you, an "amateur," are responsible for being his assistant.
You: Vyn, why does the flower I put here keep tilting...?
By the third time you adjust the unruly flower, you already feel slightly exasperated. You decide to speak up and ask Vyn for help.
Vyn: Let me see...
As you're about to move away from your seat at the workbench, Vyn moves behind you and holds your hands in his.
Vyn's warmth spreads from his chest to your back and surrounds you. You momentarily find yourself in a trance.
Vyn: How about now?
Vyn's palms are warm, but his fingertips are cold. As they rub against the back of your hand, they resemble water droplets splashing onto your skin, leaving traces behind.
Vyn: You have placed too many flowers here. That is why it is tilting.
You: Hmm...
Vyn: What is wrong? Are you still confused?
Perhaps he realizes something, or maybe it shows on your face because Vyn leans in closer. His breath caresses your earlobe.
You can't help reaching up to gently rub your earlobe. It is only then you realize that Vyn's staring at you with a slightly playful grin.
You: You're just teasing me on purpose!
You raise your arm as you try to wiggle out of his embrace, but he doesn't budge. Instead, he moves in closer to your ear.
Vyn: You are the one getting distracted while I'm trying to teach you.
You: You... You're just like that saying - "the guilty party files the suit!"
Vyn: If this is what I get for being "guilty," I will not complain.
Vyn leans in closer again. Perhaps due to the fragrance filling the room, or maybe because of the sunlight shining on him through the glass...
You touch your hot ear, forcing yourself to calm down and listen to his explanation.
Florist
Flower Shop Owner: ...8, 9, 10.
You two quickly reach the sales target thanks to Vyn's skills and serious "teaching," along with your tacit teamwork.
After the owner calculates the profits earned and checks the amount again, she enthusiastically walks you and Vyn to the door.
Flower Shop Owner: Congrats, you two! You've completed the challenge!
You: (We would have been able to finish faster if it wasn't for...)
Recalling certain incidents that happened earlier, you can't stop yourself from looking at Vyn. He is standing off to the side, calm and collected as usual.
Vyn wears a carefree expression and a gentle smile. The flower shop owner repeatedly thanks you two, and Vyn tells her you are happy to help.
Flower Shop Owner: Thanks for everything. Oh, right! Did your eipluhnight bloom?
Vyn: Yes, it did. Thank you for recommending us to see Mr. Jackman.
You: Yeah, it bloomed beautifully.
Flower Shop Owner: That's good to hear. No need to thank me-it was nothing!
The owner glances over at Vyn with a meaningful smile.
Flower Shop Owner: You're so attentive, after all. Why wouldn't things turn out well?
It seems like the owner is hinting at something, but she just waves her hand and points to your next location after she finishes speaking.
