Mavic is a background recurring character occasionally seen or referenced in events. His first appearance was in the original Tears of Themis closed beta test (CN only), in which a monopoly-style event was tested that focused on his cheating to win the Stellis Marathon using banned power shoes.
His first appearance available to global players was as the "Staff Ghoul" during the Summer Breeze Event, in which all four versions of the "Staff Member Found" dialogue remarked that he looked familiar (likely in reference to his beta appearance), but gave no further details. He appeared again as the lowest-level debate opponent in each monopoly-styled event that followed, with all but the Electrifying Night Event dialogue remarking that he seemed familiar, although he was not given his proper name of "Mavic" until the Revisiting Youth Event. Mavic was also listed as a joke wrong answer in the Xmas Partyland Event quiz question "Who is the author of the Snow Queen?"[1][2][3][4]
