Marius "Twilight Beauty"/Rewards

Story Summary

This story takes place in Year 1. Marius is not yet in a relationship with the MC.

Marius takes the main character to the outskirts of the city to pick out a potted plant for her and complete a nature painting assignment. When the two arrive at a natural area near a villa, Marius reveals they'll be seeing an epiphyllum in bloom, saying that he wanted to give her one but the gardener won't allow it.

Marius discusses finding inspiration for his nature painting before the flowers bloom that night, and the two sit by a lotus pond and speak of Marius' brother Giann, who owns the villa, and of Marius' mother.

A gust of wind disturbs the MC's hair, and Marius, having finished his painting, fixes it for her. However, his painting falls out of his sketchbook, and the MC notices the painting is of her as she chases it. Suspecting there are more, the MC distracts Marius and steals his sketchbook.

Finding the sketchbook is full of sketches of her, the MC chastises Marius for ignoring his homework. The two head back to the villa and have dinner, then settle in to watch the epiphyllums bloom. Marius points out the one he wants to give her, which is smaller and planted by him.

The MC grows tired, and Marius encourages her to nap on him until the flowers bloom. When they bloom, the MC is awakened and is awestruck by the sight and scent of the scene.

Marius offers to paint the epiphyllums to preserve the moment for the MC forever; the MC declines, encouraging Marius to enjoy the moment instead. A week later, her potted epiphyllum is delivered to her home, along with a bloom preserved in amber.

Marius: It sounds quite amazing.

Marius: How bout we... eat that pot of epiphyllum when it blooms...?

You: Now I want to try it...

You: No, no! We can't eat something that I nurtured for so long! No way! Absolutely not!

Marius: Haha, be honest with yourself!

Marius: Are you not interested in how it tastes at all?

You: Marius von Hagen! How dare you!

You: We can't eat something that took so much effort to nurture.

Marius: Haha, I'm just kidding. Relax.

Marius: But aren't you curious what it actually tastes like?

Marius: How bout this? I'll treat you to a "epiphyllum feast" next weekend.

Marius: Yeah, I just found it.

Marius: I knew you wouldn't turn me down.

Marius: We have a deal then. No sudden overtime allowed. I'll pick you up on Saturday.

You: I've never modeled before, so I might not be able to be as expressive as the others.

Marius: Don't worry. Leave the expressiveness to me.

You: You said anything, so you don't get to refuse!

Marius: Of course.

Marius: You can have as many as you'd like.

Marius: You are my source of inspiration after all!

I want a big meal

You: Take me out for a big meal.

You: My meals are covered if I model for the whole day, right?

Marius: Of course, you are my source of inspiration.

Marius: I'll pick you up over the weekend. Then, we can go wherever you want to eat.
