Luke is a little absent-minded on the way back from the fire station, and you find his behavior even more suspicious after you return home.

You look Luke over from head to toe as he cleans the table with his back facing you. You can't help but feel that something's off.

You: (Hmm... something is different from usual.)

After staring at him for a bit longer, you realize that he didn't switch to his other hand while arranging the dishes.

You: What happened to your right hand?

Luke: Nothing... Oh, I'm just training my left hand. Apparently it can help exercise the right side of your brain.

Luke casually answers your question, but he never turns around. You still feel suspicious.

So you pick up an orange and toss it in his direction, wanting to test his reaction time.

You: Luke, catch. These are really tasty.

Luke: Oh, oh... Okay. Thanks.

He first moves his right hand. However, before he can instinctively lift that hand, he deliberately stretches out his left hand to catch the orange.

That moment of hesitation almost made him miss the catch... How strange.

You: (Even if he really wanted to exercise the right side of his brain... would he rather make a mistake than change hands? ...That isn't like him.)

You stare at his right hand, trying to remember what happened today.

You: (What's wrong with his right hand...? If I had to guess what might be different...)

It would have to be when you were finishing up your volunteer work. He stacked three boxes together and moved them into the warehouse in one go.

You: (He's been acting weird ever since then. Could he have... accidentally injured his hand back then?)

You stare at Luke with mixed emotions. After noticing your gaze, he quickly responds with a slightly stiff smile.

You: (No... I can't let him bear it any longer.)

You walk up to him and put on a rather serious expression to cut off the smile he is hiding behind.

You: Luke, did you hurt your hand while moving those boxes before we finished up our work today?

Luke: Huh!?

As Luke realizes you've already guessed the truth, he stops pretending and concedes with a smile.

Luke: Ah... my Watson is becoming more and more like a detective every day.

You: Don't change the subject... How badly are you hurt?

Luke gently rubs your head as he watches your dissatisfaction transform into worry.

Luke: Don't worry. It's just an old injury that started acting up when I carried those boxes. It'll be fine after a few days of rest.

You: I! Don't! Believe! You! Gimme your hand... Let me see.

Luke: Do I really have no credibility...?

You nod repeatedly, take his arm, and inspect it carefully.

You: ...It looks better than I expected.

After careful inspection, you find that there are indeed no new external injuries on his right arm. His breathing is also steady, showing no signs that he's in pain. Only then do you feel relieved.

Luke: See? See? I said it's okay.

Luke: If you're really worried, well... Why don't you just check all the numbers for me-like my heart rate and blood pressure?

You: Sure, I'll buy the equipment tomorrow so we can always have it at the house. Let's see if you can hide from me next time.

Seeing him teasing you as if nothing is wrong, you actually feel a little relieved.

You: But... don't think I'm going to let you off easy this time. Since I caught you, you'll have to be punished.

Luke: Punished? How?

As you watch Luke finally start to get somewhat nervous, the urge to mess with him flickers across your mind again.

You: Hmm... What about this? You're not allowed to use your hands until you go to work tomorrow.

Luke: ...Not allowed to use my hands?

Seeing his coy smile, you have to pretend to be angry.

You: That's right. From now on... no computers or games allowed.

Luke: Okay, okay. I'll listen to you.

Luke raises his hands in a gesture of surrender. He then slowly backs away from the dining table, looks around the room, and sits down on the bed.

You: Also, no phone.

Luke: So, the only thing I can do is sleep?

You also sit on the bed and gradually move closer to him.

You: That's right. And to make sure you stick to the rules, I'll supervise you the entire time.

Luke: Does that mean you're going to stay here to spend time with me tonight?

You: No, I'm only staying to constantly supervise you.

Just as he happily tries to reach out to wrap his arms around you, you stare at his hands with "displeasure." He lowers his arms, which are already raised halfway.

You move closer to Luke, pressing him against the headboard. You lift his chin in your hand proudly, looking very much the victor.

Luke: Then... How long will you supervise me, Commander?

He goes along with you, smiling, his tone quite suggestive.

You: ...Until your hand is fully healed.
