The doctor seems to be busy. Ask him about the situation.

You: Dr. Miller, what are you looking for?

Dr. Miller: Oh, Miss [Player].

Dr. Miller: I'm checking on the crystals that were on display today, which is what I have to do before closing the exhibition.

Dr. Miller: But there are a few problems...

With that, Dr. Miller points to a crystal in the display case beside him.

You move closer and realize one of the edges has signs of wear and tear.

You: Was this... accidentally damaged in transit?

Dr. Miller: No, each stone is encased in special packaging material before they are transported by truck.

Dr. Miller: I examined every crystal before placing them in the exhibition, and there was no such damage at the time.

You: ...Did someone vandalize the exhibition on purpose!?

Hearing your question, Dr. Miller sighs.

Dr. Miller: As a rule of thumb, I don't question my visitors.

Dr. Miller: We had a visitor in the afternoon... She was rowdy and almost got into trouble.

Dr. Miller: After I warned the visitor, she stormed off.

Dr. Miller: I saw the visitor come back to the exhibition earlier, and she happened to pass by the display case here...

Dr. Miller stops speaking, but you can understand his concern.

You: Dr. Miller, let me take a look for you.

You: If that visitor was really responsible, she should bear responsibility.

Dr. Miller: Really? Thank you, Miss [Player].

Dr. Miller: The visitor was wearing a hat and left not long ago, which means she should still be in the corridor.

You: Okay, leave it to me.

Follow the young man and try to uncover his motives.

Arriving in the corridor, you spot a passenger wearing a hat, muttering to herself...

You: (That should be the passenger that the doctor mentioned... What's she muttering to herself about?)

You: (I should quietly follow her and take a look.)

You: (There's no reason for me to cause alarm if she didn't do it.)

[Begin Observation Event]

Passenger: Eh? Where did I leave my glasses...

Passenger: Hello, excuse me... I need to find my glasses.

Passenger: Eh? Where did that person go... Strange.

Passenger: Ugh... my leg hurts...

Passenger: I remember leaving my glasses here...

Passenger: I need to find it quickly...

Passenger: Ah—! What is this!?

Passenger: So shiny. Is it a crystal?

Passenger: I ran into the green crystal booth twice today!!!

Passenger: ...*sigh* I can't see anything at all. Where are my glasses?

Passenger: I have to eat with my dear Chris's parents tomorrow...

Passenger: I won't recognize them at all. What should I do...!?

Passenger: Ahh! There are my glasses.

Passenger: Oh, good. I can finally see things clearly now.

Passenger: My leg hurts so much... Did I bump into something in the showroom just now?

Passenger: Ahh, I can finally go back to sleep.

[End Observation Event]

You: It seems the passenger didn't do it on purpose. She couldn't find her glasses and accidentally bumped into it...

You: I should tell Dr. Miller.

Corridor of the Passenger Carriage: Rubble and Dust (3)

More strange shadows have appeared. Go check it out.

Just as you're about to head back to the exhibition, you discover a faint shadow by the window.

Its "shape" seems a little short, like a child squatting by the window and talking in its sleep...

???: Cake... cake...

???: Mommy... cake... parfait... cheese...

You: Sounds like a little glutton, huh?

As the shadow repeats itself, it gradually grows fainter...

You: Is it disappearing? I wonder...

You: Oh well... Now's not the time to be concerned about this. I need to tell Dr. Miller about the damaged crystal.

Exhibition Room: Rubble and Dust (4)

Tell the doctor everything you learned about the situation.

You: Dr. Miller, I'm back.

Dr. Miller: Thank you, Miss [Player]. How did it go?

Upon returning to the exhibition, Dr. Miller hurries over to greet you.

You: The damage to that crystal... was caused by that passenger.

You: But it wasn't done on purpose. She lost her glasses and bumped into it by accident.

Dr. Miller: Oh... I see.

Dr. Miller: Just an impulsive visitor, it seems. Let's hope that she's more cautious in the future.

Based on what Dr. Miller just said, it doesn't seem like he will press charges.

You: What should we do about the damaged crystal?

Dr. Miller strokes his chin and thinks for a moment.

Dr. Miller: I'll report this incident to the conductor, and see if there's an appropriate solution.

Dr. Miller: Fortunately, the damage isn't obvious. A little grinding and cutting will improve its appearance.

You: I'm glad the damage is minimal.
