Vyn "Eternal Whispers"/Rewards

Story Summary

This story takes place in Year 2. Vyn has confessed to the MC, and the two are a romantic couple.

Vyn has been asked by Stellis Elementary to help with their open house event and asks the MC if she'd like to come watch him host a psychology salon for the children. The MC starts to turn him down due to a meeting she has that afternoon, but she doesn't want to, and he says he'll reserve her a seat anyway in case her meeting ends early. The meeting does end early, and she rushes to the classroom, watching Vyn through a window in the classroom door. A teacher in the hallway tries to persuade a silent girl named Noah to go in, then asks the MC which child is hers; since their relationship is still somewhat new, she gets a little embarrassed about saying out loud that she's Vyn's girlfriend.

Vyn leads the kids through some activities while the MC takes a seat in the back with the parents. When the kids sidetrack his group story activity by asking to build dollhouses and play house, Vyn tells them to group up with their moms and dads and furnish a dollhouse while telling a story. The kids point out that Vyn needs a partner, and Vyn finds the MC while looking for the TA; the kids notice and encourage them to play mom and dad together. Vyn notices Noah playing alone and encourages her to go ahead and join the activity, but since she doesn't have any parents present at the activity, Noah asks the MC to be her mom.

Noah's mother, Jane Edison, arrives late, sees the awkward atmosphere, and immediately accuses Noah of causing trouble. Vyn shields the girl and asks Jane to step into the hall for a chat. Jane apologizes, but Noah seems distant from her mother as Vyn goes on to explain the group storytelling activity. He asks the MC to help him demonstrate, and the two start to tell a story of a lonely schoolboy who goes to study in a distant land, but the very different experiences they had in school make it difficult for them to follow each other's leads, grinding the story to a halt as the bell rings for a break.

While on the break, Vyn and the MC go to the school rooftop to discuss Noah's distance from her mother. Vyn explains that Noah has difficulty communicating due to a language barrier, so she has few friends, and her mother has been neglectful due to work, so the two have stopped talking. He intends to use the storytelling game to heal the rift between them. Back in the classroom, Jane bombards Noah with questions and quickly gives up when she receives little response from her child. Vyn coaxes Noah to play with the dollhouse and voice the doll's thoughts, and Jane is able to respond by using the items around the scene to talk to the doll.

After the event is over, the MC asks Vyn to come back to the rooftop so they can talk. She asks about his experiences in Svart's schools for nobility. As Vyn discusses the class schedule, he includes events the MC finds strange, like equestrian classes, Latin, and dinner parties, and he points out that -- like Noah -- many children there are neglected, isolated, and mistreated. Though he doesn't say it directly, the MC understands he's telling his own story. Vyn continues the demonstration story from before in the classroom, but the MC still has trouble thinking about how to continue it until he decides to go inside and tells her he likes the way she tells stories because he can imagine they really happened. She comes up with the next step of the story: the lonely boy meets a girl.

In the story, the girl eagerly shares her school experiences with the boy, and the two become inseparable, then grow beyond friendship. The MC weaves a fantasy of how they would have fallen in love if they had gone to school together until their confession of feelings on the school rooftop. She encourages him to move to block her view of the door, so that a teacher looking for delinquent students on the roof would only see one person there, and the two pretend to be high school lovebirds hiding from imaginary teachers so they don't get detention.

Vyn: Speaking of which, the host showed a kind of dollhouse that children used to play with.

Vyn: Inside each room is an accurate recreation of the decorations and style of the noble mansions of the time.

Vyn: Maybe your wish will come true soon.

Vyn: Recently, Stellis Museum has cooperated with foreign art museums in holding an exhibition tour.

Vyn: The theme of the exhibition is the historical home, including the dollhouse.

Vyn: You wrinkled your nose at the thick layer of cream, but after you tasted it, you ate it faster than I did...
