Ted Sadin is a streamer on the "Video Beat" platform who began regular broadcasts of his "Stellis Anecdotes" series 6 months prior to meeting Luke Pearce. Ted claims to be a "Story Detective," and his videos focus on the investigation of Stellis legends and mysteries. Among other topics he's covered, he's claimed to have received a puzzle from Sphynx and live-streamed how he solved it. Many of his viewers are skeptical of Ted's stories,[1] and rightfully so, since Ted isn't above deliberately setting a scene before a stream or making up puzzles to solve.[2]

The inspiration for Ted's stream topic is rooted in a desire to investigate like a real detective, but without handling criminal cases, daily trifles, and invasions of privacy. This left legends as a niche he could fit into, but the topic hasn't been as popular as he hoped.[3] However, his coverage of Sphynx increased his viewership from the hundreds to the thousands.[4]

Ted considers Sphynx his idol.[5] He has a childhood-friend-turned-girlfriend named Nina,[TL note 1] who was harassed by disgraced detective Aran Krall and led to Ted's desire to contact Sphynx.[6]

Translation Notes

  1. Nina's name is sometimes alternately translated as Tina.
