Sven Phillips is the director of the Oil Painting Association, sometimes referred to as the Art Association. He lives in the capital, but he travels when needed to appraise or verify the authenticity of paintings.[1] Sven meets many rich young people who study art without actually liking or appreciating art, and he is quite derisive of what he considers a "waste of educational resources" in this practice.[2]
Sven greatly values the work of the anonymous painter Z in particular.[3]
