Daron had been investigating a black market website that was started by Anne's supervisor, Wayne Posek, to sell rare plants. She blamed herself for Daron's death since she could have spoken up about her boss' activities earlier, and she orchestrated the Anniversary case in order to turn on Wayne and bring Daron's work to a close. Anne suffers from chronic aplastic anemia and believed it would be unlikely for her to live much longer after the resolution of the Anniversary case. She makes frequent large donations to philanthropic organizations.

As part of the North Stellis development project, Ash recently agreed to sell the plaza, represented in the deal by [[Themis Law Firm]].
