Artifact Discovery

You: Look, curator, we have just found a small pyramid!

Museum Curator: Oh? It's really a pyramid... and heavy.

The curator takes the pyramid from your hand. It is slightly larger than the palm, and looks very exquisite.

Museum Curator: This style and fashion, do look like the stuff of that era. Well, there are words on it.

Museum Curator: "Sitar Loves papa"? Is this really something from General Nutter's tomb? But he doesn't seem to have a child by the name of Sitar...

You: General Nutter?

Museum Curator: More than two hundred years ago, there was a period of time where warlord warfare happened in Khaimit. General Nutter was one of the warlords of Rubis at that time.

Museum Curator: It was a very fashionable decoration at that time, to carve their favorite patterns on the pyramids to show their personality.

Museum Curator: This fashion has been preserved until today, so there are many similar things in the souvenir merchandise...

You: I see...

Museum Curator: A few months ago, General Nutter's tomb in the desert oasis was raided. The tomb raiders have been captured, of course.

Museum Curator: Other items have been recovered according to the burial list, but only this pyramid sculpture is left with its whereabouts unknown.

Museum Curator: If that's true, then that probably indicates a connection between those tomb raiders and the guys who hid the artifacts here.

You: These people are really running rampant!

Museum Curator: Yeah, I don't know much about General Nutter. Can you two make a trip to the desert oasis and confirm it with the staff undertaking salvaging excavations there?

You: Leave it to us.

The curator suspects that the small pyramid comes from General Nutter's tomb. Go and ask the workers there.

Staff: Sorry, but I'm sure this does not belong to General Nutter.

Staff: The general had no children by that name, and...

The staff takes out his phone to open a picture.

Staff: Let's compare what we have found here. The pyramid in General Nutter's tomb was inscribed with his name. And the measurements are also larger than this one.

Marius: Huh, it really is different...

Looking at the pyramids in your hands and comparing them with the staff's photo, you have to admit the fact.

You: They are totally two different pyramids...

Staff: However, it was indeed found in the general's tomb despite not belonging to him.

The staff member opens another document when he sees your lost look.

Marius: Huh? So, you're saying...

Staff: We found a skeleton in the tomb. Our preliminary judgment is a tomb raider of two hundred years ago. The cause of his death because he triggered the mechanisms in the tomb.

Staff: A note in his backpack revealed that the small pyramid was an amulet that his children gave to him.

Staff: In the last moment of his life, he most likely took this pyramid out and kept it with him.

Staff: And when the grave robbers came a few months ago, they mistook the amulet for a relic of the General's, and plundered it away in passing.

You: But how can you be sure that this is his pyramid?

Staff: Look, this is the original text on the note. It stated the pattern of the pyramid, which is exactly the same as the one you have in your hands.

Marius looks closer at the staff's phone and reads out the sentence after passing it through the online translator on his phone.

Marius: "For Papa: Papa seems to be doing dangerous things all the time, but doesn't want to tell Sitar, so Sitar gives Papa this little pyramid."

Marius: "I hope it can protect papa. Sitar specially engraved'Sitar loves dad' on this, blessing papa safe forever..."

You: "Sitar love daddy," The curator did say that...

Marius: ...

You: Sitar... must be very sad.

Staff: Yeah, it's a tragic story. We just found out about this, so we haven't told the rest up Rubis yet.

Staff: I'll have to trouble you two to help relay this to the Curator.

Marius gazes intently at the little pyramid before patting you on the shoulder.

Marius: Anyway, let's head back first.

You: ... Yeah.

The worker told you a story about the pyramid. Go back and convey it to the curator.

Museum Curator: Really? So that's what happened...

The curator also sighs deeply as he listens to your story.

Museum Curator: Because of the special climate in the desert area, there are a considerable number of tombs that have been well preserved ever since. Therefore, through ancient times right up to the present, tomb raiding has continued to run rampant despite repeated prohibitions.

Museum Curator: Particularly in times of war. Many people wanted to get rich quickly by tomb raiding, and Sitar's father was probably one of them.

Museum Curator: But it was his own choice that led to this tragedy.

You: Yeah... If he didn't raid the tomb, then perhaps Sitar would not have lost her father that early.

Museum Curator: Although it's not one of his belongings, it's still an antique dating more than 200 years. I'll keep it in the museum.

Museum Curator: It is also an artifact with special significance to remind everyone of the dangers of grave robbing.

Marius: Well, anyway, since you want wealth, do be aware that there are right and wrong ways to go about it.

Marius: I have never allowed myself engaged in these crooked ways. We have to do it good, and do it right.

Museum Curator: Yeah. Anyway, I've got some preparations to do, so you two can just go wander around.

Having said that, the curator walks out of the exhibition hall, leaving both of you there.

Marius: Are you still thinking about Sitar?

You: A little.

Marius: How about we go to the night fair in Rubis for something delicious? They're famous for their special barbecue.

Marius: Let's go try it out. Might get you in a better mood too.

Marius looks at you sincerely. You can see that he really wants to cheer you up.

So you nod with a smile.

You: Sounds good. Let's go have a look.

Marius: Alright. Off we go!
