Summary

The main character, in pursuit of Joshua Ott, find a treasure hunters' camp and asks around about Joshua. She's approached by a treasure hunter who attempts to bribe her and lead her away to a remote area where he claims Joshua went before accosting her for her gold coins, but Luke arrives just in time to restrain the attacker. The hunter reveals that Joshua paid him to tell her exactly where he went without mentioning that he'd be waiting for her.
