Summary

Jack Barlow tells Artem of his scheme to get the riddle to the gold's location from Joshua Ott, involving a swapped notebook during Jack's "documentary research" sessions at Joshua's prison. As Artem and Jack are arguing about whether Jack has fallen for a setup, a gunshot sounds; Jack is hit and goes down, but Artem draws his own pistol and fires back, hitting the unknown assailant. The ambusher distracts Artem with pepper spray and disarms him before running away.
