Vyn: As Before
|
---|
Vyn: The roses I planted for you are blooming in the garden.
Vyn: Every time I see them... I cannot help but recall the first time we met.
Vyn: I remember the card you chose, and the house of cards expected to collapse...
Vyn: Emperor playing on repeat in the background... With that, we talked about the topic of "change."
Vyn: The memory remains clear in my mind, even after the waters of time have attempted to erode it.
Vyn: My heart fluttered the moment I first saw you... and that continues, without fail, to this day.
Vyn: You know, that day before you came...
Vyn: I thought I would remain as usual... Objective, distant, and able to stay out of things.
Vyn: But I realized... that reality was far different from what I thought.
Vyn: There was something inside me that I could not control, nor did I want to.
Vyn: These emotions festered till I could share my feelings and establish a relationship with you in the garden...
Vyn: It turns out that being subjective and exposed... brought such a precious experience.
Vyn: And I am willing to face you, and indulge in the deep sea known as "emotion"...
Vyn: Based on this, and thinking about the question from the other day... I think maybe this is a test of fate.
Vyn: And my answer is... I would.
Vyn: I would have drawn that card countless times, without hesitation, just to meet you.

Vyn: What One Sees
|
---|
Vyn: It is bedtime again.
Vyn: I recently found a collection of mythological stories, and read quite a few.
Vyn: This story has something to do with you...
Vyn: I always thought Themis was reflected in you — fairness, selflessness... Of course, you are far gentler.
Vyn: This is not intended as praise. It is merely my sincere evaluation.
Vyn: My first impression of Themis came from a sculpture.
Vyn: It was a sculpture in one of the Haspran Family castles... said to have been there for hundreds of years.
Vyn: When I first saw it as a child, I only felt pure shock and awe for the art.
Vyn: Later on, I felt... sympathy.
Vyn: Perhaps because the statue had been worn down by the years of wind and rain...
Vyn: Or perhaps because she is in charge of justice in a world of ever-growing injustice and evil.
Vyn: They said she was blinded for fairness and objectivity, but I always wanted to ask.
Vyn: "Do you treat everyone equally, or are you just unable to bear the suffering around you...?"
Vyn: Sometimes, a strange thought arises in my mind.
Vyn: Did the goddess put on that blindfold herself, or did someone close to her cover her eyes?
Vyn: Maybe one day, she will remove the blindfold, and deliver new judgment upon the world.
Vyn: Of course, it's just food for thought before I go to sleep.
Vyn: They are only embodiments, and cannot replace the world's judgment.
Vyn: The world's fairness and beauty are not an illusion...
Vyn: Only you are real to me.
