Accompany Marni while she wanders around.
You walk down the streets of the central business district holding Marni's hand. Her small hand is unusually cold.
She looks at everything around her with wide eyes, curious about everything in Stellis.
You: Marni, how old are you?
Marni: I am 11 years old...
You: ...
You: (But she looks like she's only 8 or 9...)
You: (Is it because of her small stature, or... is it because she's sick?)
Thinking back to the Duchess' reaction, a hint of doubt and worry rises in your heart.
Before you give it much thought, Marni tugs at your clothes, pointing to the nearby milk tea shop.
Marni: Miss, what is that?
You: That's a milk tea shop. It sells many delicious drinks.

You and Marni link pinky fingers for a pinky promise, bringing an innocent smile to her face.
Shortly after, a crowd of mostly children gather in front of the milk tea shop.
The noise from the bustling crowd is overwhelming, and Marni grabs your arm nervously.

You: All right... I'll take you somewhere else.

She lets out a long sigh of relief, visibly less nervous than before. You reach out to pat her head.

You freeze, not knowing how to respond, as infinite sadness flows from the bottom of your heart.
You take Marni's tiny hand into your palm and look at her solemnly.
You: ...
You: Marni, there's no way to just suddenly disappear from the world...
You: And besides, your mother likes you. I like you. Vilhelm definitely likes you too.
You: So many people like you and want to stay by your side... If you disappeared, we would be really sad.
You: And we made a promise... I'll treat you to all the milk tea you want after you get well.
You: If you disappear, who would I treat to milk tea? We pinky promised.
Marni: ...
Marni pouts before nodding.
Marni: ...I understand.

You take out your phone to check the time.
