At level 1, a player can add up to a maximum of 50 friends and earn up to 1500 friendship badges per day. Every two levels, the maximum number of friends that a player can have increases by 1, and the maximum amount of friendship badges that can be earned increases by 30.

Total friend badge count (maximum) is determined by number of friends possible x (20 pink hearts gifting + 10 purple hearts received as thank you).
Friendship Badges can be used to redeem items from the [[Shop#Friendship|Exchange Shop]]. The friendship badge limit per day is enforced even if players add and remove friends, sending and claiming Friendship Badges to each one.
