Fannie Morris is Joey Grant's nanny. Fannie moved into the Grant Estate with Joey and her mother, Joanne Scott, after Mrs. Grant died. Fanny has been Joey's nanny ever since she was born and, in addition to her responsibility for Joey's care and medication, has other duties around the Grant Estate such as preparing Gordon's medication. She views Joey as a daughter because her own daughter died at a young age. Since Harry Grant, Joey's older half-brother, treats Joey kindly, Fannie sees Harry like a son.[2][3]
While Fannie's exact hometown is unknown, she refers to herself as "country folk."[3]
Story[edit | edit source]
Fannie is the only eyewitness in the murder of Gordon Grant and is the one who stopped Harry Grant from tampering with Gordon's medicine. She is easily intimidated and lacks legal knowledge. Due to Fannie's unreliable statements of who dropped the tablet into Gordon's medicine, it is unclear whether Joanne or Harry caused Gordon's death. However, Fannie changed her statements to benefit Joey.[2][4]
