Summary

At Stellis Public Hospital, the main character decides to search for Macho Mann, the perpetrator in the fight that Gerard Boone protected Nurse Skye Harper from, alone rather than wait for Luke to arrive. The MC is surprised to find that Macho Mann is the aggressive man who started the fight at the fortune teller's stall the previous day. The man threatens the MC and prepares to strike her, and in her escape, she collides with Jerome Adams, who calms the man down with strange ease.

Macho's daughter suddenly approaches Jerome and thanks him for the suggestion to approach "that mister" (Marius) for help as her family now has her mother's medical bills paid. After the girl runs off, the MC questions Jerome about the aftermath of the explosion of The Pluto; Jerome says he was part of the regular evacuation and returns the MC's question. The MC lies and claims she was as well, but Jerome notes that he never saw her aboard the escape yacht. He then offers information about the altercation between Macho and Gerard as he happened to be nearby at the time, revealing that after the incident, Nurse Harper was not asked to help in the oncology department for some time.

As Jerome asks why the MC is interested in this case, Luke appears between them, abruptly pulling her away while giving Jerome a cold look. The two catch up, with the MC detailing Jerome's account of the fight and Luke sharing Gerard's mother's medical record. The two agree that Gerard's mother's cancer seems suspiciously like an NXX case and that Nurse Harper seems to have lied about the cause of her later fight with Gerard. As the two discuss the case, a commotion breaks out in the hospital, and Luke receives a call stating Tyson Turner has died.
